Can you please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up please.

For the “camera not found” error (error code 0xA00F4244) on a built‑in camera in Windows 11, use these steps in order:

    1. Check physical camera controls
      • On many laptops there is a camera function key (for example F4, F8, or a key with a camera icon) that can disable the camera. Press that key, or Fn + that key, once to toggle the camera on.
      • Check for a hardware privacy shutter/slider near the camera lens and make sure it is open.
    2. Confirm Windows can see the camera (Device Manager)
      1. In Search on the taskbar, type Device Manager and open it.
      2. Look under Cameras, Imaging devices, or Sound, video and game controllers for an entry that looks like the laptop’s camera.
      3. If the camera is listed:
        • Right‑click it and check whether Enable device is available. If yes, select Enable device.
        • If it is already enabled, right‑click and select Update driverSearch automatically for drivers, then restart the PC.
      4. If the camera is missing:
        • In Device Manager, select the Action menu → Scan for hardware changes, wait for the scan to complete, then restart and test the Camera app again.
    3. Check Windows camera privacy settings
      1. Select StartSettingsPrivacy & securityCamera (Windows 11) or SettingsPrivacyCamera (Windows 10).
      2. Under Allow access to the camera on this device, select Change and turn Camera access for this device On.
      3. Make sure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are turned On.
      4. If using desktop apps (browsers, Teams, etc.), ensure Let desktop apps access your camera is turned On.
    4. Run the Camera troubleshooter
      • On Windows 11:
        1. Select StartSettingsSystemTroubleshootOther troubleshooters.
        2. Find Camera and select Run.
      • On Windows 10:
        1. Select StartSettingsUpdate & securityTroubleshoot.
        2. Under Find and fix other problems, select CameraRun the troubleshooter.
    5. Update Windows and optional camera drivers
      1. Select StartSettingsWindows UpdateCheck for updates. Install all updates and restart.
      2. In Windows Update, go to Advanced optionsOptional updates and install any camera or imaging‑device driver updates, then restart and test the Camera app again.
    6. General stability steps if the app opens then closes
      • Close other apps that might be using the camera (Teams, Zoom, browsers) and try again.
      • Restart the PC and then test using the built‑in Camera app from Start.

If the camera still shows “camera not found” after these steps and does not appear in Device Manager even after Scan for hardware changes, this usually indicates a hardware or internal connection issue with the built‑in camera, and the device manufacturer’s support would be the next step.
