Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi @Church Secretary,
Have a good day and thank you for reaching out.
Based on your description, I assume that your account is a work or school account provided by your organization, employer, school, or IT administrator. If this is actually a personal Microsoft account, please let me know, as the next steps would be different.
To better understand the situation and provide the most appropriate guidance, could you please confirm the following?
- Where are you seeing the deactivation notice, when signing in, in Outlook or Teams, or in an Office app such as Word or Excel?
- What is the exact wording of the message? For example: “account deactivated,” “product deactivated,” “subscription expired,” or “license will be deactivated.”
- Are you the Microsoft 365 admin or billing admin, or was this account provided and managed by your organization’s IT department?
- Did this happen after any recent change, such as a role change, license change, password reset, subscription issue, or leaving or changing your organization?
In the meantime, I would like to share that if this account was provided by your organization, the reactivation must be handled by your IT admin. Work or school accounts are managed by the organization that created them. Therefore, as a moderator, I cannot reactivate the account, reassign a license, or override the organization’s access policy. Please contact your IT department and ask them to check whether your account is still active, whether a Microsoft 365 license is still assigned, and whether the organization’s Microsoft 365 subscription is active. If the account was deleted, the admin may be able to restore it from the Microsoft 365 admin center within the supported restore window.
- In case you do not know who is your IT admin, kindly refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.
I hope this helps clarify the correct path forward. Once I have your answers, I can better determine the next appropriate steps.
