Cannot Redeem Microsoft Rewards Points

I've been trying to redeem the points I earned on Microsoft Rewards but I keep getting this error "This account is temporarily restricted because recent account activity may be in breach of the Microsoft Rewards Terms of Service.". The only points I earn are from Xbox games and the activities on rewards.bing.com. The activities on that website tell you to search on Bing for specific terms. They are the same 15 searches repeated over a few days. That is the only thing I use Bing for.

I've contacted support and I either get no answer or an automated response that I may have violated some terms and conditions. I've asked for clarification and specifics but I get nothing. It's very frustrating to earn these points but not be able to use them. What do I have to do to fix this? I've stopped clicking on the activities on rewards.bing.com for a few days to see if that might help. It doesn't seem right that I have to stop using their own site.

    Hi Frustrated User,

I understand how frustrating this must be, especially after earning Microsoft Rewards points and not being able to redeem them, while also not getting a clear explanation from support.

I know this isn’t the news you were hoping for, but I wanted to make sure you get the most accurate information about your situation. Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors, including external Microsoft employees, cannot directly intervene in Microsoft Rewards account restrictions, product features, or access back-end systems. My role here is limited to providing general guidance based on the issue reported.

For this type of restriction, only the Microsoft Rewards Support team can review the account status and provide account-specific clarification. If you have already contacted them, I’d recommend replying to the same support case if possible or submitting a new request through Microsoft Rewards Support and including the exact error message, when it started, and any previous case/ticket number.

In the meantime, it may help to avoid using VPN/proxy services, automated tools, repeated rapid searches, or redeeming from a different region than where the points were earned, as these can sometimes trigger Rewards limitations. For more information, please visit Microsoft Services Agreement and Microsoft gift cards terms and conditions

I understand this may not provide an immediate fix but only the Rewards Support team can provide account-specific clarification or review the restriction further. Thank you for your understanding. I hope this gets reviewed and resolved for you soon.
