Hello Everyone,
I am using Office 2019 and i would like to continue using it. Currently there is no support and none of my applications are currently working. I must have updated the applications without knowing they will stop working. Please help

Which operating system do you have? Unfortunately, if you are on a Mac and it is updated with the latest macOS, you probably won't be able to run Office 2019 anymore.

I understand why this is frustrating. Office 2019 being “out of support” does not mean it should suddenly stop opening or editing files. For Windows, Office 2019 support ended on October 14, 2025, but the apps may continue to function. What usually causes this kind of problem is activation confusion, a damaged Office install, or the computer picking up a Microsoft 365/Office version instead of your Office 2019 license.
First, open Word or Excel, if it opens at all, and go to File > Account. Check whether it says Office 2019 or Microsoft 365. If it shows the wrong product, sign out of Office and sign back in using the Microsoft account that originally purchased or activated Office 2019. Also check Services & subscriptions to confirm Office 2019 is listed under that account. I also recommend checking for multiple Office copies, because two installs can cause activation conflicts.
Next, try a repair: Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps, select Microsoft Office, choose Modify, then try Online Repair. This is the normal repair method for Office apps that are not working correctly.
If repair does not help, it is recommended that you completely uninstall any Microsoft 365/Office trial or extra Office entry, restart the PC, then reinstall Office 2019 only from your Microsoft account page.
If this is Office 2019 for Mac, note that Microsoft says version 16.78 was the last build that supports Office 2019 license types. If the apps were updated beyond what your Office 2019 license supports, that may explain why activation no longer holds.

For context I am using Mac with sequoia atm.
i have deleted all the Microsoft applications. And I am trying to reinstall from the Microsoft page. In my profile I can see the previously purchased Office 2019. When I get to download it I get Microsoft_365_and_Office_16 Installer. I run then the installer and when I open for example Word that’s when I get the message that my license is not supported.
what am I missing?

What you’re missing is probably not the purchase itself, but the version of the Office apps being installed. On Mac, support ended on October 10, 2023, and, more importantly, 16.78 is the last build that supports Office 2019 license types. If the installer is putting a newer Office 16 build on your Mac, Word will see your Office 2019 licence but reject it as unsupported.
The “Microsoft_365_and_Office_16 Installer” name is confusing, but Office for Mac has used version 16.x for years, so the name alone is not the problem. The problem is whether it installs a build newer than 16.78.
I would try this: fully remove the current Office apps again, then install the Office 2019 for Mac installer from Microsoft’s direct installer link, not the App Store version. One-time Office 2019 licences are not compatible with Mac App Store Office apps, and those apps require Microsoft 365 for full editing.
After installing, open Word and check Word > About Word. If it shows anything newer than 16.78, your Office 2019 licence will likely keep failing. In that case, the realistic options are to use Office on the web, buy Office 2024 for Mac, or move to Microsoft 365. Office 2024 for Mac and Microsoft 365 are listed as the upgrade paths for Office 2019 for Mac.
Yea I agree , I need to find a way to install the right version of Office.
i removed all the apps. I download the installer from the Microsoft page. I opened word - About word - version 16.106 - licence Not activated.
what are your thoughts?
