Hello Sean Chin,
From your description, Copilot is available in the web version but is not appearing in the desktop Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote). This might be related to how the Copilot license is being recognized in the desktop apps
I recommend trying the steps below:
- First, try opening Copilot using the keyboard shortcut Alt + C (Windows) or Cmd + Control + I (Mac). If Copilot opens, that indicates the feature is available in the app. The issue may simply be that the Copilot button is temporarily not visible.
- In Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or OneNote, go to File > Account and confirm you are signed in with the same Microsoft account that owns the Microsoft 365 Family subscription and has Copilot access. Then select Update License, close all Office apps, and reopen them.
- Install any available Office updates (File > Account > Update Options > Update Now). Your build is already recent, but updating can refresh feature rollout and licensing components.
- Check Office privacy settings. Go to File > Account > Account Privacy > Manage Settings and make sure Experiences that analyze your content and All connected experiences are enabled.
- If the issue continues, perform an Online Repair (Windows) of Microsoft 365 from Control Panel > Programs and Features. This is recommended when the license is active but Office is not recognizing Copilot correctly.
If the issue continues, please let us know whether you're using Windows or Mac, and whether you're the Microsoft 365 Family subscription owner or a shared family member account. That may help identify the cause. That can help narrow down the issue further.
