I see that on my Surface Pro 6 the HDMI stops functioning on the current update.
I tried the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and it once corrected the issues ( about 4 weeks back) but then the issue again resurfaced and the tool kit was of no use.
I then reset the device. The HDMI external monitor worked till the cumulative updates were applied and then it stopped again.

For HDMI driver Windows 11, 10 downloads, follow these steps:
    Press Windows + X > Device Manager.
    Double click Display adapters.
Right-click the display driver you wish to update > select Update driver.
Click, Search automatically for drivers, and wait for Windows to look for driver updates.

I am experiencing this same problem, but no luck with the "hard" reboot mentioned above. The cord and external monitor haven't changed, but I did install a bunch of updates between it working and it not working. Anyone else have solutions? This is really frustrating...

I'm having the same issue. Worked perfectly fine until the recent update. Tried new cables, different monitors etc. It has to be a Windows 11 update bug.

I had a similar issue. After getting windows 11 updates, the colors of the HDMI display had been changed.

This is how I fixed it: link rgb-color-issue-in-hdmi-port-due-to-windows-11-update-for-amd-9e400c10ef13

I assume that the same process I have followed will help to resolve this issue
