I am trying to link other Azure SQL DB's to my Synapse workspace.
I'd prefer using synapses managed identity, but it does not seem to work even after I added the identity to the SQL server IAM and have the firewall "Allow Azure services and resources to access this server" .
Also tried with service principal.
See screenshots.

Hi @Kovács, Ferenc ,
Thankyou for using Microsoft Q&A platform.
You need to set your System assigned Managed identity as 'Admin' in Azure Active directory.
Attaching Gif for your reference. Additionally, you can go through the following articles for better understanding:
System-assigned managed identity authentication

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
