Parameters
A SiteMapNodeItemEventArgs that contains event data.
Remarks
The ItemDataBound event is raised when the SiteMapPath control binds to the data provided by its SiteMapProvider. This allows you to provide an event-handling method that performs a custom routine, such as updating a database or the displayed content, whenever this event occurs.
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.
The OnItemDataBound method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
Notes to Inheritors
When overriding the OnItemDataBound(SiteMapNodeItemEventArgs) method in a derived class, be sure to call the OnItemDataBound(SiteMapNodeItemEventArgs) method of the base class so that registered delegates receive the event.
