Azure VPN Gateway Scaling VPN Bandwidth in Site to Site Connections

Hello.

I am considering Azure VPN connection.

I want the same configuration as the AWS document in the link below.

I want to increase the bandwidth of a Site to Site VPN connection to a single on-premise site.

In the following documents, it is guided that it is possible using Equal-cost multi-path routing.

However, there is no word that bandwidth can be scaled.

The question you shared above is talking about active-active VPN gateways and you can follow this documentation to configure it.

From the question I am not sure if you want to scale VPN gateway for a single Virtual Network or a Virtual WAN hub?

Virtual WAN supports 2 active site-to-site VPN gateway instances in a virtual hub. This means there are 2 active-active set of VPN gateway instances in a virtual hub. You can go through this FAQ to understand VPN gateway throughput for VWAN.

Do I need any additional settings other than configuring the gateway as Active-Active and two connections via on-premise and BGP settings?

The link does not know how to set up for BCMP. Is the BCMP configuration automatic?

Or does the VPN gateway not support BCMP and need to use a VPN on the Virtual WAN?

Yes, you also need to set-up on-prem device to do ECMP.

The link does not know how to set up for BCMP. Is the BCMP configuration automatic? Or does the VPN gateway not support BCMP and need to use a VPN on the Virtual WAN?

ECMP on Azure end is done automatically, but you need to configure your on-prem devices to do ECMP.

I think I have the same question than @romero. I'm looking a way to increase the bandwidth via VPN tunnels. For example, let's say I would like 5Gbps by grouping 5 VPN tunnels using (ECMP). Is this possible? The mentioned documentation (active-active VPN gateways) is related but not exactly the goal I was aiming for. Thank you in advance,
