Hi all,

I have 3 devices installed with my 365 business standard license.

onedrive installed on all of them and signed in with my 365 account.

One of those devices is used by a colleague.

I'm wondering if I can protect a particular onedrive subfolder with a pwd.

both locally and online.

possible?

thanks!

Yes is possible set a password to a subfolder,

    but just online. not locally.

Go to the OneDrive website and sign in to your account.

    1. Navigate to the folder that you want to protect with a password.
    2. Right-click on the folder and select "Share".
    3. In the "Share" dialog box, select the "Specific people" option.
    4. Click on the "Send" button to generate a link to the folder.
    5. In the "Link settings" dialog box, enable the "Set password" option and enter a password for the link.
    6. Click on the "Apply" button to save the password-protected link.

    Regards

    Hi Ale,

#1 You cannot do this natively with OneDrive. You could use a program like winRAR or 7zip to password protect the folder and then delete the original folder (you would have to unzip it with the password every time you want to access the folder though).

#2 You can recommend this feature to the OneDrive team via feedback portal:

I'm not sure if this will be accepted as it is not good practice to allow someone else on your identity.

One option, which I have successfully initiated, is to create a bitlocker drive on your Onedrive and than add a password, I hope that helps
