Cross functional flow chart - Shape over multiple phases

Hi,

I would like to use the cross functional flow chart in visio for displaying complex process flows driven by data from an excel sheet.

However, single process steps can only be illustrated in a certain phase (e. g. Step 1 starts in Phase 1 and ends in Phase 1.

Is it possible to create process steps, which are taking place in multiple phases (e. g. Step 1 starts in Phase 1 and ends in Phase 3).

I know how to do it manually, but I would prefer it to be generated automatically driven by my excel sheet data.

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately, this still does not solve my problem.

I already use the template.

My understanding is that visio treats phases the same way as connector labels. But unfortunately it doesn't.

When I want to show a process step over two phases, I specify "1,2" for phase 1 and phase 2 in the "Phase" column.

Instead of aligning the process step over phase 1 and 2, visio adds an additional phase "1,2".

Can you help me with that? Thanks in advance!
