Best practices for Windows 11 update ring - Surface Devices

Hi There!

We have received a number of Surface Pro9 i7/16/512 devices. Devices have been already enrolled. All of them are Intune-managed devices. But we have a hybrid environment, and On-premise domain controllers are getting synced with Azure AD connect.

The operating system is Windows 11. I want to create a separate Windows update policy for all these devices. We have E3 licenses as well.

Just wanted to confirm the pre-requisites and settings to be configured under Intune Management console.

1. Need to enable telemetry - required setting using a Windows configuration profile on all the surface devices.
2. Need to create a test update ring profile under Devices --> Windows --> Update rings for Windows 10 and later --> Create Profile --> <Name Profile> --> Configure Update ring settings.

Click on "Next" --> Assign this to the Test - Surface Device group.

Please advise if I'm missing anything here. That would really help me.

@Nasrul Islam, Thanks for posting in Q&A. For Surface Hun device, the supported windows edition is windows 10/11 Team. And the update ring policy has some other prerequisites. Please ensure all are met:

For the windows update ring setting, your configuration is OK. This depends on your requirement. Here is a link with the detailed information of these settings:
