Intune iPhone 15 device model name is "iPhone" when it should be the full device model name

Intune device list shows iPhone device models by their full model name, however the newly released iPhone 15 is only listed as "iPhone"

This makes it more challenging for reporting / inventory / potential for scoping etc. Is this able to be changed to accurately reflect the iPhone 15 model names, i.e

  • iPhone 15
  • iPhone 15 Plus
  • iPhone 15 Pro
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max

This has been easy to troubleshoot as...

  • There are no 1st gen iPhones registered with our Intune
  • Knowing what hardware is being enrolled
  • Verifying serial numbers against Apple's support site

    @GT, Thanks for posting in Q&A. Based on my researching, I find this is a known issue that the recent release iPhone 15 devices are showing up as "iPhone” for their model name. And the Product team is looking into the issue. The update will be available with Intune's November (2311) service release. You can wait for the update in the following link:
