I have setup Delivery Optimization Peering via Group Mode DHCP ID 234 using unique GUID for a subnet over a single office location. Also, Device Configuration Profile is deployed through Intune to the devices.
PowerShell commands shows that few files are downloaded on test machines using Group Mode Peering.
But Why Azure Workbook for Windows Update for Business reports show 0 GB data downloaded via Group Bytes under Content Distribution? Please let me know if additional information is required.
Also, according to Microsoft:
Group Bytes: Bytes from Group peers. If a device is using Group DownloadMode, Delivery Optimization first looks for peers on the LAN and then in the Group. Does this mean that no data will be downloaded via Group Mode if there is peer available over LAN ?

@Anmol Singh, Thanks for posting in Q&A. Your understanding is correct. Based on the Delivery Optimization terms in the provided context, the "Group Bytes" in the Windows Update for Business report refers to the bytes delivered from Group peers. If a device is using Group DownloadMode, Delivery Optimization first looks for peers on the LAN and then in the Group. Therefore, if bytes are delivered from LAN peers, they are calculated in "LAN Bytes". In your picture, the devices are downloading the content from LAN peers instead of Group peers, which is why the Group Bytes under Content Distribution is showing 0 GB.

Is there any way to report the bytes download through Group Mode? I need to present artifacts for the bandwidth saved through Group Mode.
@Anmol Singh, Thanks for the reply. From the Windows deployment official document, I didn't find there's the report for Group Mode download bytes. As it mentioned, Group mode is LAN + Group, I think we can calculate it by add them together.

@Crystal-MSFT - Main thing to check is mostly there will be LAN or WLAN Peer available in a branch office location then Group Mode will never be used by Delivery Optimization. Either I am missing something in the configuration part. Deice configuration profile for delivery optimization is attached for reference.

@Anmol Singh, Thanks for the reply. For the "Restrict Peer Selection", when it is set 1 and group mode is set, Delivery Optimization will connect to locally discovered peers that are also part of the same Group (have the same Group ID).
So for our scenario, based on my understanding, it will first look for the peers on the same LAN means the peers which is on the same LAN that are also part of the same group.

This article looks incomplete to me as there is no mention about when the device will use Group Mode only instead of LAN mode.
