Hello!
I'm training on Microsoft Learn. My current stage is the following module:
First of all, this exercise starts saying that it uses the .NET 6.0 SDK. However, the instructions given on it are all for .NET 8.0 SDK.
I strictly followed the instructions for four times, initially using .NET 8.0 SDK, then tried with .NET 6.0 SDK (it wasn't possible to create a new blazor app with the option -f net6.0) and all times got the same problem showed below:
I've successfully made the reference to FirstClassLibrary as instructed.
It seems that there's some problem on this exercise's instructions. Maybe lacking some step.
I appreciate in advance any help given.

you seem to have missed the step:
dotnet add reference ../FirstClassLibrary
in the blazer project folder, or the folders are not siblings.
note: I did the tutorial on my Mac with net 8, took a couple minutes and ran the first time.

With this configuration I accomplished the step you mentioned (even at the first time I got the error), but still not working.

note: remember namespace names are case sensitive. be sure you got then correct

Our codes are identical, but unfortunately I'm getting the same error (CS0246). The folders "FirstClassLibrary" and "MyBlazorApp" are side by side inside another folder "DotNetBlazor" in my C:\ directory. Also the reference to the FirstClassLibrary is correctly made.

for dotnet projects the default namespace is based on the project file name.
if you included the FirstClassLibrary project reference, then I would guess you did not name of the FirstClassLibrary.csproj correctly (casing), and the default namespace is wrong. you can fix this. in the Modal.razor file, add as first line:
@namespace FirstClassLibrary
also check the namespace in ExampleJsInterop.cs
note: you can also define the default namespace in the project file:
<PropertyGroup>
<RootNamespace>My.Namespace</RootNamespace>
</PropertyGroup>
All checked as you recomended me. The error is gone. As everything was already correct, it seems the error was gone with the action of shutting the VS Code down and then restarting it. The system compiles and run. Actually weird as it was, the system was already compiling and running correctly regardless the error mentioned (CS0246). But in the browser I got this error (the same as when trying to run regardless the error):
looks like you are using the old omnisharp tools. you should be using C# dev tool. be sure the correct program.cs is selected, then debug. c# -> MyBlazorApp (no launch file required).
I finally and successfully ran the solution, Bruce. The last error was because instead of adding the code to Home.razor file I was overwritting the existing code. What a rookie lack of attention. I apologise for that. Notwithstanding this, your help was very very useful and I appreciate it.
