Link to download the sample database does not work

I am doing "Learn > Training > Browse > Create and use analytics reports with Power BI > Model data in Power BI"

There is a sample Access database that I am supposed to download into Power Bi. Unfortunately, the link does not work. It points to > "https://baglabspublic.azureedge.net/baglabspublic/PowerBI_sample.accdb." It seems this site is down, as all I get is "This site can’t be reached."

Is there another way to get this database?

I am having the same issue - the sample Access db link points to: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2120368

It shows link not found

It resolves to https://baglabspublic.azureedge.net/baglabspublic/PowerBI_sample.accdb like the OP.

It seems to be a DNS issue, so hopefully that will help in troubleshooting & resolving the issue.

Hey Syed, this is pretty embarrassing for Microsoft. You've had a broken link to sample data for over two months now. If your internal team is truly working on a fix, its a pretty poor indication of the ability of the team. My guess is that Microsoft doesn't consider this issue to be important and is not prioritizing it in their backlog.

My suggestion to you would be to escalate the issue to your manager, scrum master, or product owner to avoid future embarrassment to Microsoft.

Go to the wayback machine (https://wayback-api.archive.org/), look for

https://baglabspublic.azureedge.net/baglabspublic/PowerBI_sample.accdb and then click on the "URLs" title. The file has been archived in August of 2023 and is available for download (it may or may not be the most up-to-date version, but it works!)
