Hi all,

What does "Disable merging of local Microsoft Defender Firewall connection rules with group policy firewall rules for the Public profile" Policy in intune affect when enabled?

Would this impact ports which are open currently on devices?

Or are these related to ports set on Group Policy via Active Directory

If we dont use Group Policy via Active Directory is there any need for this policy to be set?

@Aran Billen Thanks for posting in our Q&A.
Based on my understanding, many Intune settings are similar to settings that you configure with Windows Group Policy. However, it is possible that the two methods might conflict with each another. When conflicts happen, domain-level Group Policy takes precedence over Intune policy.

Honestly, I'm not familiar with this policy and I didn't find this policy with the same name in intune portal. If possible, please show more information about this policy.

If there is anything update, we will continue to discuss.
