Hello,

I submitted an Identity validation for a public certificate 4 days ago that we need to sign a vsto plugin that has been giving us problems on clients pc when installing and was wondering how long it would take to be completed... right now it says in progress.

I am aware the docs here says "identity validation request takes from 1 to 7 business days (possibly longer if we need to request more documentation from you)." but we haven't got any request or for 4 days now.

    Hi @shile zi ,

I'm glad that you were able to resolve your issue and thank you for posting your solution so that others experiencing the same thing can easily reference this! Since the Microsoft Q&A community has a policy that "The question author cannot accept their own answer. They can only accept answers by others ", I'll repost your solution in case you'd like to "Accept " the answer.

    Issue:

You submitted an Identity validation for a public certificate and after four days did not receive a request for more documentation, and the validation state said "in progress."

    Solution/Root cause:

We checked internally and the request submitted went through.

The root issue was that when filling out the validation form, the company name cannot have an LLC or .com and the address just has to be a street name, with no c/o or additions.

If you have any other questions or are still running into more issues, please let me know. Thank you again for your time and patience throughout this issue.

Please remember to "Accept Answer" if any answer/reply helped, so that others in the community facing similar issues can easily find the solution.

    Hi @shile zi ,

Like the documentation mentions, the validation can take 1 to 7 business days or longer. I would suggest waiting for that timeframe.

That said, I have reached out internally and shared your request to see if there's anything else that can be done. If you don't hear back within that timeframe, feel free to reach out to me. I'll also post back if I get a response from my colleague on the Trusted Signing team.

If the information helped you, please Accept the answer. This will help us and improve searchability for others in the community who may be researching similar questions.
