Unable to install DLLs for MATLAB per help doc

This is the link where i found help page to install DLLs in MATLAB to proceed for Azure authentication from MATLAB.

The initial lines of the document asks to download latest NuGet package and install specified library from that.

But if you visit the link and follow and download latest NuGet package, the mentioned library lib\net45 is not available in the package but other libraries are available.

main thing is now, from where to get package which have lib\net45 library and DLLs?

I am using MATLAB 2023b latest Update 6

Other thing I tried is using other libraries and took DLLs from them, but they are not able to get installed as MATLAB throws error saying, dependencies not found. I tried to get all the dependencies too but it still fails.

So, please go through the link and verify if all details could be found and update the help document from where I would be able to perform next steps.

To proceed with the installation, I suggest you try the following steps:

Download the NuGet package from the following link: https://www.nuget.org/packages/Microsoft.Azure.Kusto.Data/

Extract the contents of the package to a folder on your computer.

Navigate to the folder where you extracted the contents of the package and locate the lib\net45 folder.

Copy the contents of the lib\net45 folder to a new folder on your computer.

In MATLAB, add the new folder to the MATLAB path by running the following command: addpath('path\to\folder'), where path\to\folder is the path to the folder where you copied the contents of the lib\net45 folder.

You should now be able to proceed with the Azure authentication from MATLAB.

Sorry, i found the net45 folder in older version and seen this comment now. Along with DLL installation, there were other things also needed to be done and i got to know this after contacting MathWorks.

Like, installed DLLs should be registered under GAC as per them which needs one more third party utility. Alternatively, you can execute following command to do so in each instance of MATLAB.

dotnetenv("core")

This will make sure public client application is built properly.

One more thing I identified in the code to install DLLs, in for loop, even though we are traversing through all DLLs in folder, we are installing only one as per the code, it is a minor change but needed.

I guess, we should add above mentioned changes to help document.

When I proceed ahead with the help document, I am still not able to authenticate using Microsoft Azure using app builder commands given.

It says,

Sorry, but we’re having trouble signing you in.

AADSTS90013: Invalid input received from the user.

I tried looking at the website and other options, but they are same as mentioned in the help document.

Can you help me on this, with dummy example if available or if possible with my example?
we can connect offline for app ID and tenant ID.

Regarding the issue with Azure authentication, the error message "AADSTS90013: Invalid input received from the user" usually indicates that there is an issue with the credentials that you are using to authenticate.

To help you troubleshoot the issue, I suggest the following steps:

Double-check that you have correctly entered the client_id, tenant_id, and client_secret values in the app_builder.m file.

Make sure that the client_secret value is still valid and has not expired. If it has expired, you will need to generate a new one.

Verify that the client_id and tenant_id values are correct by checking the Azure portal.

Try running the app_builder.m file again and carefully enter the credentials when prompted.

If the issue persists, try using the Azure CLI to authenticate instead of the app builder commands. You can find instructions on how to do this in the Azure documentation.

The issue was with the scope usage. I used default scope with above mentioned changes, and now it is working fine.

One request to you, please update the MS help document i referred at the start with changes mentioned above, so that new user would easily get things done.

set the MATLAB environment to use .NET "core"

to do this use following commands and steps

open MATLAB

execute command -> dotnetenv("core")

verify the same using command dotnetenv and in its output Runtime should be set to core

rehash toolboxcache

restart the MATLAB then proceed to add DLLs

Use the default MS Azure scope for further usage
