In my infrastructure I have Windows Server 2016 with the Volume Activation Services role configured and, as I understand it, a Windows Server 2016 key host is used. Now I incorporate W2019 server STD...
In my Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) I see that I have kms and mak keys corresponding to:
windows 2016 std
windows 2016 data center
windows 2019 std
windows 2019 data center
windows 10 enterprice 2016
windows 10 enterprice 2019
My question; Which of these keys do I use to configure the new Volume Activation Services role of my new server with Windows Server 2019? And if the answer is "windows 2019 standard", does this host key that I use have all the other keys embedded in it? to activate W10/11 and the other 2019 servers to create?
I have been told that to determine if a Key Management Service (KMS) host key is compatible with various versions of Windows Server, I should consult the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC). But I can't find any details on that on the portal. Can you help me punctually where? Or should I ask Microsoft for that?
