have this problem: I can't run the code, it says:

The "ResolveAppHosts" task was not given a value for the required parameter "RuntimeGraphPath".

I don't know what I can do, please help me

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I suggest you first run VS as administrator, see if this error disappears. If the error persists, try to repair VS(VS Installer > More > Repair).

If you installed some extensions, try to temporarily disable/uninstall them and test again. Some extensions may interfere VS.

From looking at the error message, it seems that the issue is related to .NET/SDK.

If you try to install and use .NET 8(Installers|Windows|x64), will this error disappear?

So see, when I'm first time starting the code (default c# console app template) there is written: "there were compiler errors, would you run the last successful build?", but the code is running for the first time, and after it says: "the debug executable (path to project) specified in the 'ConsoleApp5' debug profile doesn't exist"

Errors indicate that the build failed. Either the issue is caused by VS itself, or the issue is caused by system environment.

As you have tried to repair VS, VS should be good. If this error also appears on other type of newly created projects, I suggest try to reinstall VS.

About system environment, did you change something while you were installing VS, for example the installation location?

Is there any limitation on your machine, such as low disk space, permission limitation and antivirus?

Did you manually delete or modify some files, maybe some system files, maybe some configuration files?

May I continue to confirm:

Is the default C# Console project you created and tested, based on .NET 6? If so, will the same issue appear on .NET 8.0 based projects(C# Console)? Will it also appear on .NET Framework(4.7.2, 4.8) based projects(C# Console)?

Will this error disappear if you try to update your Windows OS(install the patches and make sure that there’s no Windows Update errors)?

Did VS work correctly when you installed it at the first time?

We have not heard from you for a couple of days.

Does this error("The ResolveAppHosts task was not given a value for the required parameter RuntimeGraphPath") persist, after you target your project to .NET 8.0?

About this error “there were compiler errors, would you run the last successful build?”, go to Tools > Options > Projects and Solutions > Build And Run > set "MSBuild project build output verbosity" to "Detailed", reproduce this error, click "No", check the Error List and the Output window of VS, see if there’s any detailed error message.

By the way, except Console App, does error appear on other type of projects?
