I'm following the lab at https://microsoftlearning.github.io/mslearn-ai-fundamentals/Instructions/Labs/08-conversational-language-understanding.html, but I'm unable to create a project.

In step 4 (below), I am unable to select or type in English. Instead it simply says "No items found".

In the Create a project dialog box, on the Enter basic information page, enter the following details and select Next:

  • Name: Create a unique name
  • Utterances primary language: English
  • Enable multiple languages in project: Do not select
  • Description: Simple home automation

I've tried it with two difference Language resources in two different regions. I've also tried enabling multiple languages, but still don't have any languages found. It doesn't matter if I first type in a project name or not.

Question: 'No items found' for 'Utterances Primary Language' when trying to create a conversation project.

Solution: It seems that the first time I went into the Language Studio I clicked somewhere and didn't get the pop up filled in to choose my Language Resource, so even though I was went to Settings and Switched resource (to different ones) it only populates the list of languages if I select the resource through the dialog box, not through settings.

If you encounter any issues in the future, don't hesitate to reach out to the community forum for assistance. Thank you.
