My Azure credits expired on March 22, 2025. Is it still possible for my to extend the credit if I upgrade to a higher tier? Where should I do it?

    Dear Evan,

Once your Azure credits have expired (in u case, on March 22, 2025), they cannot be extended or reinstated even if you upgrade to a higher-tier subscription like Pay-As-You-Go. Azure credits, such as those from free trials or student offers, are time-bound and non-renewable.

However, you can upgrade to a paid subscription (e.g., Pay-As-You-Go) to continue using Azure services. Go to the Microsoft Azure Portal. Navigate to Subscriptions and select your expired plan.

Choose Upgrade and follow the prompts to switch to a paid tier. If you’re eligible for additional credits (e.g., via Visual Studio subscriptions, Azure for Students, or partner programs), you’d need to activate a new offer separately. As well pls check the Azure billing documentation.

Have a good day, hope thas help to you.

    Best regards,

    Alex

    Hi Evan Yang,

To extend the expiration date of your Azure credits in the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub, you will need to progress to the next level in the program. For instance, if you are currently at Level 2, advancing to Level 3 will grant you additional credits along with more time to utilize them. Please note that this is the only way to extend your credits before they expire.

Please refer to following document: How do I get more Azure credits?

Please note that the only way to extend your credits is to reach the next level before your current credits expire.

Please reach out to us if you have any other queries.
