I cannot login to the Outlook app on my computer.

Hello,

I am trying to login to MS Outlook on my Surface Pro tablet PC but it keeps on showing me an error message ' Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with the current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your Outlook data file (.ost)'

I am not sure how do remove/logout from my previous employer's organisation?

If you can please help.

    Based on the information you’ve provided, it appears that Outlook is still attempting to connect to your previous employer’s Microsoft Exchange account, which is no longer accessible. 

    To properly remove your old work account from Outlook and your device, please follow these steps: 

    1. Remove the Outlook profile via Control Panel > User Accounts > Mail > Show Profiles > select the old profile and click “Remove”.

    1. Disconnect the account from Settings > Accounts > Access work or school >  Select the old organization account and click “Disconnect”

    1. Open Credential Manager (search in Start menu) > Windows Credentials > remove any entries related to your old work account.

    1. Restart Outlook and set up a new profile with your current account.
