Why my slide disappears after I cut or delete photo?

I inserted some pictures related with my intern, unfortunately, those pictures were too large. So, I decided to delete some images throughout my slides (1 slide, 1 picture only), but when I do so, the entire related page is gone, and the only thing left is the "Insert Picture" options with grey background. Can anyone help me? I just want to delete the picture, but this issue is preventing and delays me to do my work. Thank You.

    Hi MLViktor Sidious

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Could you please try creating a new slide, inserting an image, and then deleting it to see if the slide still disappears? I’ve tested this on my end, and it seems that this issue only occurs when the image is grouped with a manually inserted text box (not the default placeholder). In such cases, deleting the image might also remove the entire grouped content, which could make it appear as though the slide has vanished.

Would you mind checking if that might be the case in your situation?

Also, could you let me know which version of PowerPoint you're currently using? That would help me better understand the behavior and provide more accurate support.

If possible, could you share a screenshot of the issue or a sample file? If you're okay with that, please comment on this thread and I’ll reach out via private message to get the file.
