Somebody please please help.

This is driving me crazy.

I have a new Samsung Ativ. Windows 10 and most upto date windows office.

Word and the operating system continuously keep changing the input mechanism

In word it always changes to English US, and the keyboard also retains to US input.

THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

I have changed it in settings, installed English pack UK, changed to default , uninstalled English US, and yet it still reverts to this,

Please help.

To permanently change the Input Language, go to Start>Settings>Time and Language.  Select Region and Language.  At the bottom of the window, you'll see a hyperlink that says Additional Date, Time, & Regional Settings.  Click that hyperlink.  It will open this window:

You can click Add a Language or Change Input Methods and it will open this window:

Under the language you want, click on Options.  It will open this window:

Under Windows Display Language, select this language as your display language.

You must log off and log back on for the settings to take effect.

For Microsoft Word, the display language is set under File>Options.  Select Language.  The display language is in the bottom half of the window:

    Good luck!

The "Change override" option is not available for me.

I want Windows to display in English, but my keyboard is AZERTY french. So I want to set the default input language to FRA without changing the display language of Windows. Any help please.

In my experience, Windows 8.x and Windows 10 have poor support for using one input language and a different display language. I have actually given up on that and instead I run Windows in Swedish which is my input language. I can still have the user interface in Office set to English, fortunately.

    I also have this problem

Also, after removing the extra layouts, I can still change layouts within Word, which also changes my shortcuts.

It is driving me UP THE **** WALLS
