Somebody please please help.

This is driving me crazy.

I have a new Samsung Ativ. Windows 10 and most upto date windows office.

Word and the operating system continuously keep changing the input mechanism

In word it always changes to English US, and the keyboard also retains to US input.

THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

I have changed it in settings, installed English pack UK, changed to default , uninstalled English US, and yet it still reverts to this,

Please help.

To permanently change the Input Language, go to Start>Settings>Time and Language.  Select Region and Language.  At the bottom of the window, you'll see a hyperlink that says Additional Date, Time, & Regional Settings.  Click that hyperlink.  It will open this window:

You can click Add a Language or Change Input Methods and it will open this window:

Under the language you want, click on Options.  It will open this window:

Under Windows Display Language, select this language as your display language.

You must log off and log back on for the settings to take effect.

For Microsoft Word, the display language is set under File>Options.  Select Language.  The display language is in the bottom half of the window:

    Good luck!

    Pleased help me!!!

My keyboard layout automatically changes to US and even though I have set the keyboard layout to either English UK or English UK Extended, it remains US. All the settings say it is UK, but when I type press Shift + " (left of Enter Key), I get @.

Also, I don't have the Change override option for English UK  - all I get under Windows display language is: Unavailable in this edition of Windows. I also don't have the option of setting English UK as my default in Settings > Region & Language.

This really is making things very difficult for me and I need help ASAP!

Support for keyboard languages (input languages) needs to be installed in Windows. If you can't install support for additional languages, then most likely your Windows installation doesn't support it. To find out for certain, ask in the Windows section of this forum at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum?sort=lastreplydate&dir=desc&tab=All.

Sindhi language input from setting up my phone on

You have to ask this in the correct category for your phone. Start a new thread by clicking the Ask a Question link at the top of the forums thread. Use the "Office sub-topic" category to choose the type of device/operating system you are running.
