Problem with Facebook & Authenticator? Need help!

So, I had an issue logging into my Facebook account, and it came up saying my account had been locked, and then I needed to use an Authenticator app.

Already had Microsoft Authenticator set up, but hadn’t been using it - thought it would be simple enough to do.

Well, I’ve now spent over two hours still trying to log in.

I kept clicking on use on the same device, got enter the confirmation code, and the continual timer wheel/circle of doom!!!

Then it says in “red you need to authenticate before you can proceed”. Even if I regenerate another code, it does the same thing.

Even if I scan the qr code from my iPad using my phone, it does the same thing.

What can I do to resolve this???
