Hi All, I have come across this document which says

"Cloud data movement units
A cloud data movement unit (DMU) is a measure that represents the power (a combination of CPU, memory, and network resource allocation) of a single unit in Data Factory. DMU is applicable for cloud-to-cloud copy operations, but not in a hybrid copy.

The minimal cloud data movement units to empower Copy Activity run is two. If not specified, the following table lists the default DMUs used in different copy scenarios"

I assume Cloud data movement units actually is DIU now. I would appreciate if someone could please confirm. If

this is indeed a measure ,could you please expand on this preferably with a usecase. Thank you.

Azure Data Factory
Azure Data Factory

An Azure service for ingesting, preparing, and transforming data at scale.

Hi @Samy Abdul ,

Thank you for posting query in Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Yes, your assumption is correct. DIU(Data integration Units) were formerly known as cloud data Moment Units(DMU). For more Information, see Data Integration Units.

In below document link - Syntax details table confirms same.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/data-factory/copy-activity-overview#syntax-details

A Data Integration Unit is a measure that represents the power (a combination of CPU, memory, and network resource allocation) of a single unit within the service. Data Integration Unit only applies to Azure integration runtime, but not self-hosted integration runtime.

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.
