Installing Grammarly

I want to use Grammarly with Microsoft Edge. How do I install it?

Thank you for reaching out. You can use Grammarly with Microsoft Edge by installing it as a browser extension.

To get started, open Microsoft Edge and visit the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. Search for “Grammarly”, open the extension page, and select Get or Add to install it. When prompted, please review the permissions requested by the extension and confirm the installation.

Once installed, Grammarly should start working automatically across supported websites. You may be asked to sign in to your Grammarly account to begin using its features.

If you’re unable to find Grammarly in the Edge Add-ons store, you can also install it from the Chrome Web Store using Microsoft Edge. In that case, make sure to allow extensions from other stores if prompted. For more information, please visit Add, turn off, or remove extensions in Microsoft Edge

Please note that Grammarly is a third-party extension and is not developed by Microsoft. While Edge supports installing and using extensions, for any issues related to Grammarly features, account, or subscription, you may need to contact Grammarly Support directly.

To use Grammarly in Microsoft Edge, install it as a browser extension.

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Select Extensions (the puzzle piece icon) to the right of the address bar.
   • If the icon is not visible, select Settings and more (...) > Extensions.
3. Select Get extensions for Microsoft Edge to open the Microsoft Edge add-ons store.
4. In the store, search for "Grammarly".
5. Select the Grammarly extension from the results, then select Get.
6. Review the requested permissions, then select Add extension.
7. Wait for the confirmation that the extension has been added.

If preferred, extensions can also be added by going directly to the Microsoft Edge add-ons store and then repeating steps 4–7.

To enable or disable Grammarly later:

1. Select Extensions > Manage extensions.
2. Use the toggle next to Grammarly to turn it on or off.
