filter settings

i can't find the filter settings in my account. where do i locate to un-filter my emails?

Hi,

I understand that you want to find where the filter settings are in Outlook.com and remove any filter that may be hiding or sorting your emails. I am happy to help. Please try the following steps in order

• Clear the message list filter. 
  • In Outlook.com, open your mailbox and look above the message list for Filter. Select Filter > All. If needed, also select Filter > Sort and choose how you want the messages sorted, such as Date.
• Turn off Focused Inbox if emails are split between Focused and Other. 
  • Go to Settings > Mail > Layout. Under Focused Inbox, choose Don’t sort my messages, then select Save. 
• Check whether a rule is moving or filtering your emails. 
  • Go to Settings > Mail > Rules. Review each rule carefully. If a rule is moving, deleting, forwarding, or sorting messages unexpectedly, turn it off or delete it.
• Check Junk Email settings. 
  • Go to Settings > Mail > Junk email. Review Blocked senders and domains and remove anything that should not be blocked. If trusted senders are going to Junk, add them under Safe senders and domains.
• Check the folders directly. 
• If you still cannot find the emails, check these folders directly:
  • Inbox
  • Junk Email
  • Deleted Items
  • Archive
  • Other (if Focused Inbox is still enabled)

The emails may not be deleted. They may only be hidden by a filter, rule, Focused Inbox sorting, or the current sort/view setting.

If the issue continues, please reply with which “filter” you mean

• The Filter menu above the message list.
• Rules under Settings > Mail > Rules. 
• Focused / Other Inbox sorting.
• Junk email filtering.
