Azure Percept Vision (EYESOM) Camera Sensor

I've been using the Azure Percept DK kit with the Vision (EYESOM) for the past few months. In general, it's a good piece of kit and helping me learn the Azure IoT ecosystem. However, I'm somewhat disappointed (but I shouldn't be surprised) with the selection of the camera interface for the Vision board. My application requires a sensor without an infrared filter and will allow night time recording (using infrared illumination). Raspberry Pi, Nvidia, and other embedded vendors have started to standardize MIPI-2 camera connectors and allow interchangeability with several third parties. This would have added to the easy, minimal coding, nature of the device and provided more flexibility with plug and play extensibility.

Does anyone know if there are any other third party camera sensors that can be used with the SOM/Driver board?

"By default, the Azure Percept's Camera attached to Eye SoM is used as input source. We can also use a UVC camera as input source. A generic UVC camera that outputs raw format (like RGB and YUV) is supported. Validated on Logitech B525 HD, 720P, 30 fps."
