Removing Azure Email\Proxy Addresses

Hi, how do remove the email and proxy address in Azure. User does not have an mailbox in Microsoft 365 admin center. When I try to remove using GA, the email reverts back to the what was there initially. I know the command below is for set-mailbox is for mailboxes, but only one comes to mind. Any ideas

Are you in a hybrid environment? Because if that is the case, you should edit the user on-premises on your Domain Controller.

Hello

we have the same problem. Yes, it's a hybrid environment. The changes in Exchange On-Premises have been made, the user is synchronized, we can see this particular synchronization. However, the proxy address is not removed from ProxyAddresses!

@gutierrez The Microsoft support solution was to deactivate a user on premisses, sync, delete (permanently) user in AAD / Entra and sync again. We use Exchange on premisses, NOT Exchange Online!
