Dear Experts,

We Would like to take your help for the Display Language issue with MS365

  1. Global Environment
  2. Different Language in use (Multiple Countries)
  3. Microsoft 365 E3 License assigned
  4. User Device installed with required language (Example : User is from United states, the language pack is installed with en-US, and similarly the users from Germany installed with de-DE Language) using Auto Pilot
  5. In Addition, We also allowed the users to update/Add the language Pack as per their need. Users from Germany can also have the display language to use in en-US (Reflets in Display language, Key Board layout, etc.,)
  6. The Display language also reflects with Browser Settings (Edge, Chrome) to use the display language settings

Output :

  1. User's can access the Outlook Web App with English (Web Based Outlook using Edge/Chrome Browser)
  2. But the same users cannot use the Word , Excel, PowerPoint with the required language Settings- This should happen automatically based on the Display language
  3. If users access the OWA (Outlook as Web app) works at the same time If the same user with same device tries out the Word/Excel as Web App - the Display language is not reflecting as "Display Language" Instead of that, it get display in German

Steps Tried so far:

Referring the Article : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/change-your-display-language-and-time-zone-in-microsoft-365-for-business-6f238bff-5252-441e-b32b-655d5d85d15b

  1. Added, the Desired Language Pack
  2. Promoted the desired language pack as primary/default/display as Device Settings
  3. Updated the same language pack as default/primary with in the Browser settings

User's image

Expected Output:

  1. As the Outlook (MS365 App) Application, We are expecting all other Applications OWA/Excel as Browser should work in the display language
  2. Is there any Settings to be perform region wise for the users. Example If user is from Italy do we need to set up the Parameter as Set-ADUser -replace @{PreferredLanguage="it-it"}
  3. If Yes, does it also allow the same user to change the language preference from it-it to en-us
  4. We would like to take the change, to ensure the users can get the OWA works with the default/Display language as per the device
