Hello @ Tufan Bulut , Does Visual Studio provide any option like Retry/Repair? If so, will it work if you click it? From the screenshot that you shared, there’s a "View Logs" option. If you click and check that log file, will you see any detailed error message? Currently, I suggest you check following: Try to run VS Installer as administrator, repair/retry the installation. See this similar thread: Couldn’t install OpenJDKv17 . Check the limitations on your machine, such as permission limitations, group policy, antivirus, security management software and proxy. I have been encountering this issue for days, and the 'app console .NET Core' package is missing in the project creation section. I would appreciate a quick response. If you can connect remotely and fix it, that would be even better. Thank you

Currently, I suggest you check following:

It offers a repair option, but it doesn't work. When I click on 'View Logs,' the screen shown in the screenshot I shared appears. Windows is up to date, and I have also tried disabling Windows security and other blockers to perform the repair, but it didn't work.

Previously, I manually downloaded and installed OpenJDK17. Could this cause any issues?

I uninstalled the manually installed OpenJDK 17 and performed a repair as an administrator, but it didn't work.

Thanks for sharing us the screenshot.

Does this folder(OpenJDKv17,version=17.0.8.0,machinearch=x64) exist under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\VisualStudio\Packages?

If it exists, try following:

Right-click this folder > Properties > switch to Security tab > select the user > click Edit > make sure that the proper permissions have been assigned. Repair VS and test again.

Rename/remove the folder(OpenJDKv17,version=17.0.8.0,machinearch=x64), repair VS, see if this works.

If it doesn’t exist, try to manually create this folder(leave it as an empty folder but with the correct folder name), repair VS.

After granting permissions, I tried to repair it as an administrator, but it didn't work. I deleted the existing 'OpenJDKv17,version=17.0.8.0,machinearch=x64' folder and recreated it with the same name. Then, I tried to open the VS installer as an administrator and repair it. I also tried deleting the folder and repairing it, but it didn't work

I also installed all the packages related to .NET, but the Console App (.Net Core) option is still missing. Could this be related to JDK17, and why can't I find a solution?

I can see that the "Console App" project template is available in your screenshot. It should be the correct project template that you want(previously, we used .NET Core, the versions were .NET Core 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 3.0, 3.1. Now the name is changed, we use .NET, the versions are .NET 5.0, 6.0, 7, 8…).

Do you still get errors when you choose the "Console App" project template to create a default Console App(.NET)?

If this machine is managed by your administrator, try to communicate with him/her to confirm that no rules were set to block the installation. If there are some software installed on your machine by your administrator, you might also need to double confirm that they won’t block the VS installation.

Please also try to rename some cache folders(for example, rename to XXXX_backup) => C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\17.0_XXXXXXXX\ComponentModelCache, %Temp%, then repair VS.
