As per my current setup, I've AVD setup with host pool having windows 11 and connected windows 11 with microsoft entra id.

To enable concurrent users in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and allow multiple users to connect to the same virtual machine (VM) simultaneously, you need to use a pooled host pool (rather than a personal desktop). In a pooled setup, multiple users share session hosts running Windows 10/11 Enterprise multi-session or Windows Server. Assign users via application groups. Also, use load balancing (e.g., breadth-first or depth-first) to optimize session distribution across hosts.

As I can see, my current Host pool type is "Personal" and my VM is Windows (Windows 11 Pro) not Enterprise multi-session. So Do I need to create new host pool or I can modify this one and create new multi-session windows 11 and add that to host pool?

You cannot modify an existing Personal host pool to support multiple concurrent users. Instead, you need to create a new pooled host pool that consists of Windows 11 Enterprise multi-session VMs. At a high level, these is the sequence of steps:

Create a new Host pool

In Azure Virtual Desktop, create a new Pooled host pool.

Choose Breadth-first load balancing for distributing users evenly across VMs.

Deploy Windows 11 Enterprise multi-session

Select Windows 11 Enterprise multi-session as the OS when creating session hosts.

Ensure the VM size has enough CPU and RAM for multiple users.

Assign users to the new Host pool

Add users to the Desktop application group in the new host pool.

After setting this up, users will be able to connect to the same VM concurrently.

The error message indicates that your deployment is failing because you have exceeded the quota for Standard DASv5 Family Cores in the UK South region. Your current quota for this VM size is 0, meaning no cores are allocated for this SKU in your subscription.

To fix this, use a different SKU or

Check your current quotas

Go to the Azure Portal

Navigate to Subscriptions > Select your subscription > Usage + quotas

Search for "DASv5" under Compute to confirm the limit

Request a quota increase

Follow the link from the error message or go to:
Azure Quota Increase Request

Select "Compute", choose Standard DASv5 Family, and request an increase (e.g., 2 cores).

Wait for approval (can take a few hours to a day).

Deploy in a different region (optional)

If increasing the quota is not an option, you can deploy your VM in another region where you have available quota.

Now I tried to create again but It's saying quota limited. When I have deleted my host pool which I tried to create then how it consumed my quota?

Confirmed - delete the original deployment first and make sure that deprovisioning completes.

I created new host pool as suggested by @Marcin Policht . In application group, I added users but while taking the remote desktop session, I can take session with a user name which I used while creating a hostpool but not with the users I added in application group. i'm using windows 11 multi session OS when I tool a remote session using a user boxarr which I used while creating a host pool, I can take session but when someone else tried the same session from his end using the same boxarr user I got disconnected.

Ensure that the respective group has been created in Microsoft Entra ID. Microsoft Entra ID > Groups > All groups > New Group and check under user profile of Groups tab.

As you can see, under my microsoft entra id, the group is already created and 2 users are added in that group but the thing is those users are not able to take remote session desktop. we can only login with a user which we created while creating host pool which is called boxarr user and we are using windows 10 multi session window with pooled but still only 1 person can take session at a time.

In that devops group there are 2 users Pramod and Eryk but they can't login into this windows 10 multi session OS.

What I did that I created a local user in this windows 10 called Pummy so now boxarr and pummy users can take remote session at the same time but why Pramod and eryk which are devops engineer and added in devops groups can't?
