Hi @Filipe Augusto da Silva Braz

Thanks for posting to Q&A Forum.

Regarding the error REDUCE_CAPABILITIES_CHAT in Microsoft Teams, it typically means the chat feature is temporarily unavailable, often due to a client-side issue, especially on Linux systems. Unfortunately, if you're using Linux Mint, Teams might be running with limited features due to how the browser or OS handles certain components (like WebRTC or GPU acceleration).

Based on the image, it seems like you're using Teams Desktop app instead of Teams Web app like you mentioned. It's advised to use Teams Web app to avoid local errors with browsers like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge (Linux version) or Firefox and avoid browsers like Brave or Chromium forks, which may not fully support Teams features.

If you encountered error when using web version, you can try Incognito mode and clear cookies and cache on your browsers.

    • Go to browser settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data.
    • Select Cookies and cached images/files.
    • Restart the browser and try again. Sometimes corrupted data causes chat features to break.

For the current desktop app version, you can clear Teams cache by running rm -r ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft\ Teams then restart Teams try launching it with GPU acceleration turned off: teams --disable-gpu

Overall, Microsoft Teams on Linux has limited support for some features, including chat and calling may be restricted in certain environments. Some features are disabled in virtual machines or unsupported browser
