SpeechRecognizer.Enabled Property

Definition

Gets or sets a value that indicates whether this SpeechRecognizer object is ready to process speech.

public bool Enabled { get; set; }

Property Value

true if this SpeechRecognizer object is performing speech recognition; otherwise, false.

Remarks

Changes to this property do not affect other instances of the SpeechRecognizer class.

By default, the value of the Enabled property is true for a newly instantiated instance of SpeechRecognizer. While the recognizer is disabled, none of the recognizer's speech recognition grammars are available for recognition operations. Setting the recognizer's Enabled property has no effect on the recognizer's State property.
