Hello,

We are using Azure for our data migration activities.

As part of it, we are planning to use Windows Virtual Desktop \ Azure Sentinnel. Based on the products available by region, I can see that Windows Virtual Desktop & Azure Sentinnel is not available in Australian region (all 4).

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-au/global-infrastructure/services/?products=azure-sentinel,virtual-desktop&regions=australia-central,australia-central-2,australia-east,australia-southeast

Is there a way I can use those services in Australia?

Thanks,
Prasenna

@Prasenna Kannan Thank you for your query!!!

WVD is available globally and it’s just the metadata location that for now are in US geographies.

You can create your host pools anywhere without being concerned about changes to metadata. You need to be aware of the metadata location constraint as there will be a very limited amount of data transfer between Australia region and US region where metadata will be kept. The WVD control plane is deployed in many regions so you should use the experience estimator to find the best region for your host pools for network performance:

    Hope it helps!!!
