i cant install C++ on my new Windows 11 computer

Question

i cant get it to install i dont know why it stops and just gives me this and refuses to do anything else

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please check and make sure that all the Windows OS upgrade/security patches have finished being installed(Windows Settings > Windows Update).

Open Task Manager(Windows), check if there’s any running process(like Windows Installer) which blocks the installation. Wait for it finishes running/updating/scanning/installing, or end it(some may restart automatically after you end them, make sure that they won’t restart), then reinstall the Visual C++ Redistributable package.

Please try to search Service in Windows Search box , right-click it and run it as administrator. Open the Services window, find the Windows Installer service, make sure that the Startup Type is set to Manual(right-click it > Properties), stop it temporarily(right-click it > Stop). Try to reinstall the Visual C++ Redistributable package.
