How to add "Open text" function in microsoft edge

Hello, I am having a problem with Microsoft Edge. Even though I have updated the browser and my system completely, I still do not have the “Open Text” function in Edge. I have checked for updates, restarted the browser, and restarted my device, but the feature is still missing. Could you please help me understand why the function is not available and how I can activate it? Thank you.
it should be showed up somewhere in the middle a bit to the left when you open whichever document.
i can use other tools such as translation, underlining and hidden comments but i would really like the open text version which other people have.

Are you opening a PDF in Edge?
What is your Edge display language? (Edge Settings > Languages)
What Edge version are you using? (edge://version/)
Does this happen with all PDFs?
Is this a personal or work/school device?

Note: The "Add Text" button only appears for certain supported languages (e.g., English, French, Vietnamese). Try switching Edge to English and restart.

Hello,

Yes exactly im refering to "add text". I can make notes but those i always need to click on to open. And with the other feature are always visible. It should be shown on my toolbar up but its not. I only found out about that cause my friend has it.
*I have the latest update of microsoft edge

The Add Text (T) button only appears when:

You have a PDF file open, and

The toolbar is fully loaded.

Please open any PDF in Edge → wait a moment → look for the “Add Text” (T) icon on the top toolbar.

Try:
