Hi @Nora Rechel,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. I wasn’t able to view the attachment you mentioned, but based on your description, the issue likely relates to branching or section-level logic. If possible, please share the attachment again so we can better understand the situation and troubleshoot more effectively.
The most common reason a question disappears in Preview/user mode is branching logic (conditional paths) or section-level branching that now skips that question, even if you didn’t intend to change it. Reordering questions or sections can also alter branching paths, which explains why numbering differs (#34 in edit vs. #19 in preview).
To start, please check the following:
1/ Verify branching:
Open the form, go to the affected question (purchase quantity / instrument selection), select … (More settings) > Add branching and confirm both answer paths point to Next or the correct consecutive question, not End of form or a later section.
Use Reset if needed, then Preview and test each path.

2/ If you’re using sections:
Confirm the section’s branching also points to the right next section/question, respondents only see questions reachable via those paths.
3/ If the missing item is a File upload question:
It only appears when Who can fill out this form is set to Only people in my organization (or Specific people in my organization). External (anonymous) responders won’t see file‑upload fields.

After that, here are a few steps that often help:
1/ Delete and re‑add the last visible question, then preview again (this clears a corrupted tail question/branch).
2/ Sign out > close the browser and then sign back in.
Or try Edge/Chrome/Firefox and clear cache, cached drafts can show older logic and hide new items.
I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.
Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.
I look forward to continuing the conversation.
