Hi @bzm68p,
I hope you’re having a great day.
Thank you for reaching out and for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. I truly appreciate your openness and honesty. It is completely understandable to expect a smoother and more consistent experience, especially when changes affect such fundamental actions as copy and paste.
After carefully testing and reviewing the current behavior, I would like to share the findings and some helpful clarifications below.
1/ Recommended next steps
After highlighting or selecting the content you would like to copy, please use the small Copy icon that appears automatically near the selected text. When this method is used, the original formatting is typically preserved, including hyperlinks, rich text or HTML formatting, and table structures.

Please note that this floating toolbar is currently available only in Teams for the web and is not yet supported in the Teams desktop application. Using Teams on the web or continuing to use Ctrl + C, based on what best fits your workflow, may help ensure the expected results.
When content is copied as plain text, this usually occurs when manually right clicking and selecting Copy. In this case, the content is copied without formatting, which explains why elements such as links, tables, or styling may not be retained when pasting.

2/ Submit feedback to Microsoft
As a forum moderator, I hope you understand that I don’t have the ability to modify or directly escalate product issues. However, I strongly recommend submitting your feedback through the Microsoft Teams · Community. This is the most effective way to ensure your input reaches the product team and can be considered for future improvements.

Once you've submitted your feedback, feel free to share the link here in the comments. I’ll be happy to upvote it to help bring more visibility.
If you are unable to submit feedback from your side, please let me know and I will be happy to submit it on your behalf.
Additionally, since many other users have expressed similar concerns but may not know where to submit feedback, if my response has helped you better understand the situation and guided you toward a possible next step, please mark it as the "Accepted Answer". Your action will help pin this post to the top, making it easier for others in the community who are experiencing the same issue to find your feedback and support it.
I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to continue sharing any additional observations or issues that arise.
Thank you again for your time and for raising this important usability concern.
