    Dear @Kate Platter,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, you receive error code 0x803d0014 when trying to share a OneDrive file from the PowerPoint desktop app with a colleague in the same organization.

To help me narrow down the cause, could you please provide the following details?

    • Which service are you using and getting this issue (excel, word...etc)?
    • Does this issue affect all files or only specific ones?
    • Are other Office applications experiencing similar sharing problems?
    • Does it occur in web version or desktop app version?

In the meantime, here are some suggestions you may refer to:

Try Sharing from the Web Version (if you are using desktop app)

This is often the quickest workaround:

    • Go to Microsoft OneDrive in your browser
    • Navigate to your file, right-click it, and select Share
    • If this works, the issue is likely with your desktop OneDrive integration rather than the file itself

Run an Online Repair of Office

A corrupted installation can cause this error:

    • Close all Office applications
    • Go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps
    • Find your Microsoft 365 installation, click the three dots, and select Modify
    • Choose Online Repair (this will take longer but is more thorough)
    • Follow the prompts to complete the repair.

For further detailed troubleshooting, you may refer to the official Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support

    Reset OneDrive

Since the error involves sharing through OneDrive:

    • Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon in your system tray
    • Select Settings > Account > Unlink this PC
    • After unlinking, go back to Settings > Account and click Add an account to reconnect
    • This refreshes the connection between your PC and OneDrive

    Test with a Different File

    This helps isolate the issue:

    • Create a new file, save it to OneDrive, and try sharing it
    • If the new file shares successfully, the problem may be specific to your original file
    • If the new file also fails, the issue is with your Office/OneDrive setup

    Additional checks

    • Sign out and back in: In Excel or Word, go to File > Account > Sign out, then restart and sign back in

    User's image

    • Try a different network: If possible, switch to another Wi-Fi network to rule out connection issues
    • Check file ownership: Ensure you're the owner of the file you're trying to share

I hope suggestions above can help you resolve the issue. If not, please update more information as my previous questions so I can support you more effectively.

    Looking forward to your update.
