Testing issues with iOS Intune SDK integration app

Question

We are trying to integrate our iOS app with Intune. We are an application that is published to the Apple App Store. Following the official documentation, I have added the Intune SDK dependency library to our iOS app project dependencies and used these APIs in the code. I have registered a test tenant and attempted to deploy our app within it.

To distribute the app to test devices, there are two possible options on the Intune admin management :

• iOS store app
• Line-of-business app.

We are an application published on the Apple App Store, so theoretically, we should choose iOS store app. However, it seems that code modifications within the app appear to only take effect after being published to the Apple App Store. But we don't want to release a new version before passing the tests. We can distribute the test app via TestFlight, but I am not sure if Intune can use apps from TestFlight. Therefore, when adding the app, the option to select an iOS store app might be not available.

If we choose the line-of-business app option for testing, it requires activation of Apple Business Manager. We are merely the developers of the app and not the end users. Is it necessary to use Apple Business Manager only for testing purposes?

@LinYudan, Thanks for posting in Q&A. Based as I know, for the "iOS store app" option, code modifications will only take effect after being published to the Apple App Store. Alternatively, you can choose the "line-of-business app" option, but it requires activation of Apple Business Manager, which is not necessary for testing purposes.
