I have ryzen 5 3400g paired with 128 Sata SSD, 2Tb of HDD and 16 gb of ram. I have been using this build for more than 5 years. I was happy with Windows 10. But the security update time has ended at October 2025. So I updated my device to windows 11. It looks good. But the main issue is I am getting very slower pc. I dunno the reason. I have updated the windows and also the drivers. Set the mood to the "Performance" . But still my pc is very slow. Please help me. What can I do??

    Hi Shovon,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum. I'm happy to help.

Please help me check this setting: Open Core isolation > Memory integrity.

If it is enabled, please disable it then reboot your machine. Disabling Memory integrity should help gaining some performance.

In case it does not help, you should perform a clean install. A clean install is necessary after upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11, as it should prevent driver conflicts from old components and ensure full compatibility with Windows 11 requirements (TPM, Secure Boot, etc.).

    Before proceeding:

    1. Back up your data to an external drive or cloud storage.
    2. Download the latest Windows installation media from Microsoft’s official site.
    3. Create a bootable USB and perform a clean install.
    4. After installation, sign in with your Microsoft account to re-link your device and activate Windows.

Disclaimer: At this point, we have exhausted all troubleshooting and I recommend that we try to perform a clean install to get your computer back into a working condition. Please ensure that you backup any important data, including Documents, Pictures, Videos, and more.

In case you need guidance on creating installation media, let me know — I can provide detailed steps.

Please note that after installing and signing in, you may have to run Activation troubleshooter to activate your Windows. More information: Reactivating Windows after a hardware change.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to let me know.

    Hi ,

Generally, when you upgrade from Windows 10 to 11, you may experience performance loss in games, with slowdowns occurring. If you use games for gaming, I always recommend a clean install of Windows 11 before upgrading from 10 to 11.

We can try to improve performance. What is your motherboard model, and do you have a dedicated GPU?

Open the command prompt (admin) and run the commands: sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth. Wait for the process to finish and restart the computer.

Then perform a clean boot and uninstall applications that you do not use.

    Thanks
