To continue live chat with a Microsoft specialist for an existing case, use the same support channel where the case was created and look for the chat option tied to that case.
For most Windows 11 home users:
- Open the Get Help app (press the Windows key, type Get Help, and press Enter).
- If prompted, select Contact support.
- Choose the relevant Product or service (for example, Windows) and follow the prompts.
- When asked how to be contacted, select Chat with a support agent in your web browser and provide the existing case number in the description so it routes correctly.
If the case is for Power Platform or was created through the Power Platform admin center and has live chat enabled:
- Go to the Power Platform admin center where the support request was created.
- Open the existing support request that matches the case number.
- Select Open Chat to resume the ongoing conversation with the Microsoft support engineer.
If direct chat isn’t available for the case type, use the official Microsoft support entry points and provide the case number so the agent can locate it:
- Contact a Microsoft support agent: use the link under “Microsoft support” to start a support flow and choose chat or callback where offered.
- Home users can also start from the Get Help entry point described under “Customer service phone numbers,” then select chat or request a call and give the case number to the agent.
For accessibility-related issues (for example, if using assistive technologies with a mouse or Windows 11), contact the Microsoft Disability Answer Desk, which can assist via multiple channels and languages.
