The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account.

    @Rylee Addis ,

    In this case there could be a few common reasons which would lead to you experiencing this error.

    • The application you are trying to access does not allow access to external guests or Microsoft Accounts (liveID) that you are using to logon. This is caused by a different sign-in audience allowed in the application vs. one who is accessing the application means you .
    • Your Microsoft account (liveID) that you are trying to use is not added to the East Carolina University as a guest . In this case you may have to contact the application owners team to get access to the tenant and allowed as a guest within the same.
    • A few things you can try is to try signing in to the application within a private/incognito session in the a different browser and in case existing cached token from wrong account was used automatically by the browser. F you generally use chrome then try using Microsoft Edge or Firefox etc.

    There could be multiple other reason and we have an excellent article on this. I would suggest you to check the linked article to understand more as it could be any of those reasons . In many of the cases you may have to contact the administrators of the 'East Carolina University' to get access properly if trying another browser did not work for you .
