A Windows 365 provisioning policy (agents) determines the configuration used to create Cloud PCs for Agents. In Microsoft Intune, a provisioning policy (agents) represents a Cloud PC agent pool.
Prerequisites
To create a provisioning policy (agents), you need:
- An Agent 365 license in your tenant.
- An active Windows 365 for Agents billing plan.
- (Optional) Agent users in Agent 365 that can use Windows 365 for Agents.
Step 1: Provide general information
- Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center, then select Devices > Provision Cloud PCs > Provisioning policies (Agents) > Create policy.
- On the General page, enter a Name and an optional Description for the new policy.
- Choose a Billing plan.
- For Always available Cloud PCs count, enter the number of Cloud PCs to provision. You can enter a value between 1 and 200.
- Select a Geography where you want to provision Cloud PCs.
- Select Next.
Step 2: Assign agents
- On the Agents page, select Add Agents, choose the agents you want this policy assigned to, and select Save. User groups aren't currently supported.
- Select Next.
Step 3: Select an image
- On the Image page, for Image type, select one of the following options:
- Gallery image: Select Select > select an image from the gallery > Select. Gallery images are default images provided for your use.
- Custom image: Select Select > select an image from the list > Select. The page lists images that you uploaded by using the Add device images workflow.
- Select Next.
Step 4: Select configurations
- On the Configuration page, under Windows settings, choose a Language & region. The selected language pack is installed on Cloud PCs provisioned with this policy.
- Select Next.
Step 5: Select scope tags
- Optionally, on the Scope tags page, you can select scope tags for your provisioning policy.
- Select Next.
Step 6: Review and create
On the Review + create page, select Create.
After the provisioning policy (agents) is created, Windows 365 automatically begins provisioning Cloud PCs. Provisioning Cloud PCs for Agents takes around 20-30 minutes.
After the Cloud PCs for Agents are provisioned and enrolled in Intune, you can view them in the Microsoft Intune admin center under Devices > All devices. The device enrollment profile name matches the provisioning policy name.
For a selected provisioning policy (agents), in the Session Usage section, you can also see the number of Available sessions.
