Replicate Power BI model & setup in Azure

We are currently using Power BI and want to explore moving a semantic model to Azure Analysis services and I cant seem to grasp the concept or azure items to make this possible..

Currently on Power BI:
Datawarehouse is in AWS, Mods/datamarts are created and posted there.
Tables are brought over via a gateway in Power BI data flow (unaltered) via ODBC, refreshed every hr (full reload for now)
Power BI imports the tables and builds the schema.

On azure:
Started an analysis services server
added gateway resource
General purpose storage
Visual Studio installed but no local connection to AWS

What am I missing in the azure setup to bring the tables over through the gateway and schedule the refresh + allow analysis services to see those tables? I cant seem to find a way to even pull the tables over at this point.

Side note, this is completely foreign to me, no idea what I am doing or how to do this. Any guidance or details on these fundamentals is greatly appreciated!
